Spring In Kentucky

It has been YEARS since seeing a mid-west spring! Kentucky is in full bloom. The Arizona desert was green and blooming a month ago, and with temperatures now approaching the high 90s, the colors are gone. But here in Louisville, what many here seem to take for granted, stands out to a visitor. Here’s a Dogwood:

Having spent the first 10 years of my life in Ohio, there are faint memories of this. How different it is in the West.
Temperatures right now are fantastic. Humidity is perfect and Shelbyville, where I am actually staying (just East of Louisville), is the Kentucky hub of horse country and such a nice small town.

Wow. I can only imagine just how bright that pinkish tree in bloom must have looked in person!
