My daughter graduated today from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. It is significant for me in many ways, some that I really don’t have words for. She is only the second member in the family to ever accomplish it. There is obvious pride in her. I am having a hard time grasping the perspective that it was twenty-eight years ago that I graduated college. Twenty-eight. It is amazing. I have a kid that now has done the same.

I am excited for her and the direction she is going. She is taking some time to see what develops. She is doing some tutoring with kids in reading and language and will be volunteering with a new ministry using horses to help heal abused kids.

So congrats to you, Beth. Your Dad is proud.

Note: Significant coincidence? I graduated in 80, she in 08. Twenty-eight years ago — she in 2008, 20 | 08 — twenty eight.
