Christian Cardiology: It’s all about your heart.
If there is something that becomes ever increasingly clear with age, it is that “it’s” all about your heart. What is the it’s? It’s can and could be that anything which comes at what I have heard defined as that defining moment. You know, those things you will realize when all the unimportant things are removed. And it is always found in the proverbial area of your heart. The trouble is, most of us never pay attention to those things. We avoid the matters of the heart. Isn’t it true? But defining moments are in all of our futures and it will be at those times that we will see things the way we should. When that happens, great change takes place.
This isn’t a check-up from the neck-up. These are realizations that start and end where it really counts, in the heart. The spiritual one.
So what would this look like or sound like? What would happen? How would it come about it? How ’bout a real event with an elderly woman, a robber, a threat, danger, money, and a defining moment. Watch it happen —

You are indeed correct about this. Much of humanity in this country is so wrapped up “the chase” – working like maniacs for homes and cars they can’t afford, wasting years of their lives in traffic and seeking pleasures that leave us empty – instead of investing in eternal things.
So Phil, what are those things in your life of late that have prompted you to focus on “matters of the heart.” And don’t just ramble about turning 50 soon – we all know that and I want to read something deeper.

Very touching, Phil. Can’t help but think that God led that man, even through his potential tragic act, exactly to the ministering that will turn his life around. It was up to that man to make the right choice, follow his conscience. I sure hope he pays forward that $10 in a good way and sees good things start happening in his life.

Steve — Ok, ok…..although you know I am still hesitant about being too open. I’m getting there….being unpretentious is what is needed, I know.
Julie — I am sure he will. We may not know, but my gut tells me that guy is a CHANGED man. His heart is now where it is supposed to be.
**note: The final comment from the reporter is that when the police asked the lady for a description, she declined to give one!
