Steve Crawford: We Have Overcome, Lakewood Worship

My Favorite Music, Real Spirituality
Steve Crawford is part of the team that leads worship services at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. You may have heard more of the minister there, Joel Osteen. I have no doubt the worship music there has significantly helped produce the approximately 40,000 attendees this church has every weekend. Steve is from Columbus, Ohio and believes that the music helps understand who God is and this in turn makes worship more meaningful. How true. We live in a world that seems to keep us from drawing closer to God. Steve Crawford leads worship in a way that just makes you know that there is a better way.

See them in concert if you can! They are great:) Delirious is from UK, but they travel a lot on tour and have been in the US quite a bit over the years. I think I have seen them five times in concert:):):):):) I will try to see them again in June. http://www.delirious.co.uk

Steve and his sister, Da’Dra are soooooo anointed. I praise God that He brought them to Lakewood. God is using them to add more dimension and depth to the praise and worship team at Lakewood. I especially love to see Steve sing. He always has a huge, authenitc, smile on his face when he is praising. You can tell it is his passion to praise and worship God.

Hi Cindy! I didn’t even know that Da’Dra was his sister … makes sense …. musical family! I have a goal to visit Lakewood. It sounds like an amazing Church. Thanks for your comment.

Not only Steve and Da’Dra but also Cindy, and Israel, the choir directors, Michael and his wife, Fiona…incredibly annointed worship leaders…Stephan, Arianna, Esther, Krystle, Mayra…the Lakewood band…Its incredible what you see on TV but also what’s not seen…there is such an anointing during praise and worship you can’t help but rejoice…

Hi Vanessa — One of my actual things to do on my bucket list, so to speak, is to go and experience the worship with them. I am so impressed as well with the musicians! I have posted a number of Cindy’s videos here too. Thanks for your comment. Are you a member of Lakewood?
May 13th, 2009 at 8:31 am
Yes I am, I am also a member of the choir…and honestly, I can’t say enough about Lakewood…as someone once told me they were brought in to the church by what Pastor John Osteen (founder of Lakewood) said once, “we don’t care where you come from, we care about where you’re headed.” He heard it on TV one night back in the late 80′s and if his job schedule doesn’t allow him to make it to church, he’ll watch Pastor Joel on TV. It may be a Mega Church, but you’ll feel accepted and loved the minute you walk in. Hope you are able to make it to Lakewood soon.
