CONTEST ONE Winner!
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
They say that there are people that watch it happen; those that make it happen; and those that wonder what happened! You probably fit perfectly into one of those categories right now after reading the title to today’s post.
Person 1 … you have been waiting to see who won.
Person 2 … you took action.
Person 3 … Huuuh? What are you talking about?
I want to have a little fun with the blog. Contests will do just that. You will find them all over the blogosphere. Well, I’ve held my first one and we have a winner!
Before I declare the winner, allow me to inform the readership (all 6 or 7 of you) that holding the position of BlogMaster of this domain, I final say and authority and my decisions are final. Cahpeesh? I posted the Contest on the About page. The first person that entered a Comment on the blog and mentioned the Contest would win a fabulous prize, a $5 gift card to Starbucks!
Here’s the winner(s): LISA in Duluth! I first met her and her then boyfriend now husband Pat while teaching at Emerson Edison Middle School in Colorado Springs. Congrats to you Lisa! I TAKEAKNEE and thank you!
And I have determined that Lisa in Telluride shall be awarded one as well because she was the very FIRST poster of comments. I’ve known her and a bit about her family for a few years. They live in Telluride, Colorado after escaping the Oklahoma dust bowl. With all the skiing they do, I am sure a cup of hot coffee or tea will be thoroughly enjoyed.
Side note: This is how new I am at all this. I was checking periodically if anyone had “entered” the contest and NO comments were there. Oh well, I thought, there will be a winner sometime. Signing in to write this post today I found the notice that there were comments waiting in moderation! Geeeez.
So congrats to our winners. I have some great contests planned. You might/will be surprised at some of them.

Hi Phil!
Debbie here in Colorado Springs. I enjoyed your Pikes Peak Cafe Forum, so I figured I would also enjoy reading your blog. Something that caught my eye in your first blog, was your interest in, “affiliate marketing (huge obstacles but it is something that really interests me. I’m not talking about mlm. Keep listening.)”
Just this morning, my niece was telling me about one she and her husband joined last year. She said they made their money back and then some just in a very short time, but hadn’t done a lot with it because of everyday life with kids, just being busy. But, a few weeks ago at the age of 37, she had a stroke. She was in the hospital for over a week. She’s doing well, but still tires real easy. The scary part is they haven’t figured out what may have caused it. Will be sending her to Denver for more tests. Well, this was a real wake up call for them and she will be quiting her job and hopes to work more on her affiliate marketing. I’m sure she won’t care that I post her site; heck, its marketing, right? http://www.bign.com/TeamNational.aspx?site=cindys If you need to delete, please do. I’m sure her husband would chat with you about it if you would what more info on this type of thing.
It was 79 degrees here in CS today! But snow forecasted for tomorrow. Hey, CS has the best of both worlds. :o)
Good Luck with your blog! I’ll be back!

Hi Debbie. Thanks for your comment. I hope your niece has a full recovery. Affiliate marketing has some definite advantages over mlm. I would encourage her to check into the potential of the blog as her platform …. she might be able to use this life changing event in a positive way. Health is everything and brings what is important to the forefront, doesn’t it? (79 today and snow tomorrow LOL SOOOOOOO Colorado! I really do miss it.)
Yay Tom! Thanks for the add. I’ll reciprocate! And there will be some talk here on COFFEE and Cigars!

Gracias! Does one of the future prizes involve you jumping out of a cake? That would be surprising. I’d definitely take a knee.
