Both Pres candidates are quite supportive of the "bailout" in public. Regardless of whether they vote yes, no, or not at all, the Senate will pass the bill.

Here's a quote from MSNBC: ** Ample “no” votes came from both sides of the aisle, but Democratic leaders managed to persuade more than 60 percent of their members to back the measure, while more than two-thirds of Republicans balked at spending so much taxpayer money just before the Nov. 4 elections. **

Now, the DEMS are in control. Had not almost 40 percent voted along with the righteous Repubs, the hated bailout would have passed! OMG! As a wise pundit has often said, "C'mmmmmmmmmon!!" Get behind the DEMS and give credit to them, all you who are card toting respectable REPUBS! :)

Did you see that Nobama and McCain were no shows on the vote? I think there is a message there.

Sick of party affiliation? Me too. That's why I see myself as a Centrist. I look at BOTH sides and make a correct decision! Ha-Ha :)

The Dems didn't reject the plan that went to a vote, House Repubs did. Lo and behold, the sun has risen at least twice since then. ;)
Politics should NEVER be about the party, but instead about the issues at hand, Political affiliation gives individuals an "out" that causes them to line up behind the party of choice, and spew party line drivel, all the while allowing real issues to go unattended, or abused. I'm sick to death of party affiliation...

Amen to the Arizona sunsets. They are among some of the most beautiful on Earth.

Also....the desert is so diverse and beautiful. And the way it smells after a rain.....heaven!

Hey, good for you on the new MA program! I always knew you'd come back to the "dark side" (education) someday...

P.S. I'm still undecided about NOvember. I just happen to hate our current governor and I was kind of hoping McCain would pick him as his VP running mate so we could get him out of MN. But then if McCain keeled over, we would have all been screwed. President Pawlenty? Forget it. That's when I pack up and move to Canada.

P.P.S. With regards to the Vikes...in Gus we trust!!
